The Sustainability Policy, based on the Framework, is a guide to making sustainable business decisions and ensuring responsible business management.
The spirit of the document is to:
- confirm, strengthen, and simultaneously evolve those guiding values that underpin the identity of our Group;
- disseminate knowledge about our sustainability commitments;
- set out the implementation principles to be followed and develop in order to pursue a balanced development in the medium and long term.
The Policy reiterates, formalises and set out the Company’s belief that in order to create a sustainable long-lasting value, business growth must promote respect for individual personality and inalienable human rights throughout the Company’s operations and along the value chain, in compliance with local, national, and supranational regulations. This commitment is intertwined with upholding principles of legality, integrity, impartiality, and transparency, driven by an integrated strategy. Continuous improvement methods and criteria for efficient and economical management are integral to this approach.
Application and updates
The Sustainability Policy applies to all companies within the Group over which 2i Rete Gas S.p.A. exercises control.
Introduced initially in 2020, the Sustainability Policy undergoes an annual review and, when deemed necessary, is adjusted based on the updated materiality analysis conducted each year. It was therefore updated in 2022, while the third and current edition was approved by the Board of Directors of 2i Rete Gas S.p.A. on March 27, 2023.
