Connection: Step and requirements

1. The client requests a connection and an operator goes to the site for an inspection.

2. The Distribution Company, or through the Sales Company, sends the quote to the client.

3. After accepting the quote and making the relevant payment, the necessary connection work will be completed.

4. A compliant internal system is required in order to have methane gas at home. Those without it must seek a registered installer to complete and certify the work according to Ministerial Decree no. 37 of 22 January 2008.

Start: steps and costs

1. Once the internal system is ready and in possession of the necessary documentation, the end client applies for the supply through a Sales Company. 2. The Distribution Company assesses the customer’s documentation to verify compliance with safety regulations for the system to be supplied (pursuant to Res. 40/2014 ARERA). 3. In the event of a positive outcome, the distribution company will activate the supply by installing and commissioning the meter. They will then communicate the service start date to the sales company. 4. Start-up costs* (pursuant to Resolution ARERA 737/2022/R/ GAS as amended):

€30 + VAT start-up fee, for meter with calibre G4 or G6 included;

€45 + VAT start-up fee, for meter with calibre over G6;

5. Document assessment costs (pursuant to Resolution ARERA 40/2014/R/gas as amended):

€47 + VAT for systems with a thermal capacity of up to 35 kW

€60 + VAT for systems with a thermal capacity between 35 kW and 350 kW

€70 + VAT for systems with a thermal capacity over 350 kW. *except in cases where there are start-up promotions and specific contractual provisions at the individual municipal concession or Territorial Area levels.
